Sniper Elite V2 is a third-person tactical shooter that emphasizes a less direct approach to combat, encouraging the player as a sniper to use stealth and keep distance from enemy soldiers. Many of the single player levels allow multiple routes for the players to take, including multistory buildings and side streets to get vantage points and avoid direct firefights. Set in World War II, the player character utilizes appropriate weapons for the era. The sniper rifle is the primary weapon throughout the game, though additional side arms including submachine guns and pistols, silenced or not depending on the situation. In addition to hand grenades, the player can deploy them as tripwire booby traps, land mines and dynamite. Binoculars can be used to tag enemies in view, displaying their position and movements to player. When using the sniper rifle however, certain elements can determine the outcome of a shot, taking realistic ballistics into consideration including wind direction and strength and bullet drop potentially altering the shot through the scope. Bullets can ricochet off surfaces or targets and strike others. In different postures such as crouching or lying down on the front can also steady a shot, however the player character also has the ability to take a deep breath to further steady a shot and from their perspective slow down time. Another ability is when the player character is spotted, their last movements and position to the enemy is shown as a white-outlined figure, potentially allowing the player to escape that area and avoid further deception and alarms being raised.

On certain maps, there is a Nuke-like killstreak that can be used by killing the top player on the other team and then completing various challenges after picking up a briefcase that is dropped. The sniper-rifle scopes will also have new "duel render technology" allowing the player to see around the outside of the scope when zoomed in.

Call of Duty: Ghosts takes place in a near future following an attack from space via kinetic bombardment that changed the global balance of powers in the world. As a result, many of the great powers were devastated and the United States lost its superpower status. Its industries and infrastructure were decimated, and the US became a vulnerable developing nation. Ten years later, a powerful enemy from south of the equator invades the weakened nation, overwhelming the crippled military and occupying many states, but remnants of US special operation forces from every branch came together to create a specialized unit called the "Ghosts", an elite paramilitary group of soldiers who are determined to eradicate all threats to protect the United States.

Where as the last two games focused around characters, Salem and Rios, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel will focus around two new T.W.O. operatives named Alpha and Bravo. It is speculated that the reasoning behind the unidentified names is to give the player the feeling that it is them fighting through the missions.
Returning from the first game is the Overkill mode, which makes both players invincible for a short period of time. However, features such as back to back, playing rock, paper and scissors with your partner, and other co-op interactions have been removed in favor of a more fast-paced gameplay. Competitive multiplayer from the second game will not be returning to focus on a richer co-op experience.

Shortly after being recruited into T.W.O. (Trans World Operations), Alpha and Bravo join Salem and Rios in a rescue operation to save multiple hostages in a cartel compound. During the operation, only one hostage, a girl named Fiona, is found. Salem attempts to leave, believing that if he stays, he will die. Alpha, Bravo and Rios are successful in saving Fiona, but Salem presumably dies. Five years later, T.W.O. is hired by Mayor Cordova, a Mexican politician seeking to bring down the La Guadaña and kill its leader, Estaban Bautista. The T.W.O. operatives, Alpha and Bravo believe nothing will go wrong, until the convoy's movement is interrupted by La Guadaña and Alpha and Bravo survive with some other operatives, but Cordova escapes

Battlefield 4 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts. The game is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and the thirteenth installment in the Battlefield series. The game will be released on October 29, 2013 in North America and Brazil, October 31, 2013 in Australia and Japan, and November 1, 2013 in Europe for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Battlefield 4 features several changes compared to its predecessor. The game's heads-up display is much the same, composed of two compact rectangles. The lower left-hand corner features a mini-map and compass for navigation, and a simplified objective notice above it; the lower right includes a compact ammo counter and health meter. The mini-map, as well as the main game screen, shows symbols marking three kinds of entities: blue for allies, green for squadmates, and red/orange for enemies.


Players can now use dual-scoped weapons, including weapons with different firing modes (e.g. single shots, automatic fire). They can also "spot" targets—marking their positions to their squad—allowing teammates to either suppress or eliminate them. In addition, players will have more survival capabilities, such as countering melee attacks from the front while standing or crouching, shooting with their sidearm while swimming, and diving underwater to avoid enemy detection. The single-player campaign will see the player using vehicles to quickly traverse mini-sandbox-style levels.

Battlefields' multiplayer has been confirmed to contain 3 playable factions; U.S., China and Russia and up to 64 players on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Also confirmed is the return of the "Commander Mode" last seen in Battlefield 2142, which gives select players an RTS-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and ordering in missile strikes and such on hostile targets (as long as at least one friendly player can see the target).

Unlike the previous games in the series, which used very large, open environments, missions are self-contained portions of the overall story and returning to earlier missions' settings is never possible. Each mission is scored on several criteria including the number of kills by the player, head shots, and gibs, and up to three stars are awarded. During each mission an optional, harder setting is available mandates certain criteria such as a time limit or a restriction on usable weapons; doing so increases the score. Obtaining 40 stars unlocks the separate "Aftermath" campaign, which is one chapter and does not award stars or offer the harder setting.

Like its predecessors, Mass Effect 3 was released to commercial success and critical acclaim. However, the game's endings were criticized by many players, prompting the release of an extended cut version which elaborated on the consequences of choices made throughout the series.

The storyline involves the divine protector of Earth, Raiden, attempting to change the aftermath of the events of Armageddon by contacting his past self as he faces defeat at the hands of the evil emperor of Outworld Shao Kahn. The game also features a return to the gameplay style roots of the Mortal Kombat series, with fights taking place in a two-dimensional plane but with characters and levels rendered in 3D.


Upon release, Mortal Kombat received positive reviews and won several awards for fighting game of the year. It was also a commercial success, selling more than two million copies in just the first month. Due to its extremely violent content, the game was banned in Australia and South Korea as well as being indexed in Germany; the Australian ban was later lifted and the game was released there in May 2013.

A new feature is the "super meter", which can be charged by various actions during battle such as performing special moves, getting hits blocked by the opponent, or getting hit by them. The super meter can be charged to three levels, each of them enabling a different action to be performed. At the first level, it can be used to deliver an enhanced version of one of the character's special attacks; two levels can be used to interrupt a combo attack, and the full three levels allow for the delivery of a special attack called an "X-ray move". The X-ray move unleashes a series of attacks during which the camera provides an internal view of the character being attacked, which shows their bones and organs being broken or ruptured1
